Simple Trick Ensures You’ll Never Have To Worry About Dry, Cracked Feet Ever Again

Do you have dry, itchy feet? Maybe the skin on your feet is red, or rough and flaky, or perhaps your heels have cracks in them? These are all common symptoms of having dry feet. Unlike the rest of the body, the skin on your feet doesn’t have any oil glands. This means sweat glands are the only source of moisture in your feet.

Unfortunately, these sweat glands aren’t always enough to keep your feet looking supple and smooth. Common causes of dry feet include non-moisturizing soaps, hot showers, cold weather, sun exposure, and aging. In more severe cases, the condition can also cause a strong itching/burning sensation, so it’s always smart to get the issue treated quickly. Here are some simple remedies you can try at home.
1. Lemon Juice

The acid in lemon juice dissolves old skin. Soak your feet in lemon juice for ten minutes a day, then use a loofah to scrub off the skin flakes afterwards.
2. Olive Oil

Olive oil is simply wonderful for skin care, and works just as well on your feet as anywhere else. Add some drops of lavender or lemon essential oils for even more effective healing.
3. Vaseline

Vaseline, or petroleum jelly, has long been used as a moisturizer. Apply Vaseline all over your feet, including the tops and between the toes. Let this absorb overnight, wearing cotton socks to help retain the Vaseline. Rinse your feet off in the morning.
4. Sugar

You may already be familiar with the use of “sugar scrubs” for skin care and beauty. Simply combine equal parts brown sugar and olive oil, then massage the feet with this exfoliating scrub. Pay special attention to any areas with rough skin. Massage for 10-15 minutes, then rinse.
5. Honey

Honey, in my eyes, is a miracle substance. I find a new use almost every day, and it may be shorter to list the things honey can’t help with. All you need to do is soak your dry feet in warm water mixed with honey. In 10-15 minutes, your feet should be noticeably softer.
6. Milk

Milk is rich in vitamin A and has a host of other nutrients that all work together to promote healthy skin. Additionally, the lactic acid in milk aids in the shedding of dead skin cells and the production of new ones. Make a milk foot soak by mixing one cup milk with five to seven cups of warm water.
